Andrew and his crew are great to work with. They showed up when they said they would, were very courteous and went over all work to be done before proceeding. Two large trees needed pruning and the crew worked meticulously selecting the branches to be cut. They were considerate of the neighbors and cleaned up all debris before leaving. They did great work at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them as arborists.

Guide on Stump Grinding VS Stump Removal

There are two standard methods of removing stumps from trees: stump grinding and stump removal.

Stump grinding is a process where the stump is cut off at the ground level using a saw or chisel. This method is usually less expensive than stump removal, but getting the stump wholly removed can be challenging without damaging surrounding roots.

Stump removal uses a tractor-mounted saw to cut through the stump aboveground and pull it out. This method is more accessible and affordable than stump grinding but can damage surrounding roots and soil.

If you have a large stump that needs to be removed, you may need to hire a professional stump grinder. If the stump is small and located close to the ground, you can try to remove it yourself using either method.
